Rachel Brown

Just got back from the hospital where Rachel was successfully delivered at 19:03 this evening. She was a few weeks early and as a result Jill and I were caught a little unprepared. Nevertheless, the whole delivery could not have gone more smoothly and her and Jill are both doing extremely well.

Jill gave me a call at 12:30 to say that her water had just broken. I rushed home and we headed off to hospital. We got there just in time too as Rachel was well on her way and the contractions were already 2 minutes apart - all this in less than an hour. I have heard some horrific birth stories but we were fortunate enough to not experience any problems - two thumbs up for the epidural!

Weighing 2.9 kg and 49.5 cm, she is obviously the cutest thing that has ever walked crawled lay on the face of the earth!

Jill and Rachel, both smiling nicely!

Me holding her for the first time - incredible!
